Hey all! Happy hump day a.k.a Wednesday, a.k.a only two more days until Friday day.
Here are some things I’ve been up to so far this week, as well as some stuff you should be eating/reading/listening to. Enjoy!
First of all, I made some Black Bottom cupcakes via Smitten Kitchen and ate them with almond butter because I can. You should too. Thank me now, and thank me later.
In other healthy news, I’ve been snacking on this stuff hardcore. If I’m going to put cheese product in my face, it’s gonna be this horseradish cheddar business. My husband and I always enjoy it when we’re back east with family, but because of the internet, we can now indulge at home too! o_O http://www.cubacheese.com/
With all the energy from those healthy snacks, I reorganized my kitchen a little! My hubs and I had been eating at our coffee table in our living room forever (so sad), so I made a better space to eat in our teeny kitchen. I’ve been getting a lot of inspiration from the Small Spaces section on Apartment Therapy.
Things we should be eating Indian-style nachos!!! http://www.bonappetit.com/recipe/indian-style-nachos-warm-spices-tamarind-chutney
Don’t eat boring avocado toast. Just don’t do it. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/04/16/avocado-toast-upgrade_n_5158847.html
I’m currently on a quest to find tasty matcha (green tea powder), as my first purchase was not successful. This in depth article is helping me in my journey!
BURGERS. This blogger is my hero. He’s making the daily burgers from Bob’s Burgers a reality. I can’t wait for him to make the “We’re Here We’re Gruyere, Get Used To It” burger.
Things we should be reading This inspirational woman - She's 90 and still killing it as a designer in Silicon Valley.
My Human Development and Family Studies degree gots me geeking out on this article: http://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2014/06/happily-ever-after/372573/
Also, this article has been making the rounds on social media. If you’re into kinda pseudosciencey love stuff.
Things we should be listening to Emmylou being an ultra babe, and Albert Lee absolutely crushing on guitar - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jn77ZraSZ8A
I’m totally obsessed with Shovels & Rope, a husband and wife duo out of Charleston, SC. Bluegrassy, bluesy, indie rock goodness. Cary Ann’s voice will give you the feels.
Until next time!
