If I was a betting woman, I’d put $10 on you having a can of chickpeas in your pantry at this very moment.
If not, run full tilt to the nearest grocer and get yourself a can. You just can’t miss out on this super addictive snack!
All you’ll need to create this recipe is that beloved can of chickpeas and a few other pantry staples. Within minutes of toasting in the oven, the spices will have your home smelling delicious. You might experience some drooling at this point, but be patient! Once these suckers are done, you’ll have a perfectly crunchy, salty, spicy snack that you won’t wanna share.
1 15 oz. can chickpeas
1 tbs olive oil
¼ tsp sea salt
½ tsp cumin
½ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp cayenne pepper
½ tsp chili powder
¼ tsp cinnamon
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Drain and rinse the chickpeas, then lay them out on a cooling rack lined with paper towels. Pat with paper towels to dry.
Meanwhile, in a medium size bowl combine the remaining ingredients, then add the dry chickpeas. Stir the chickpeas until they are completely coated with the oil and spices.
Pour the chickpeas onto a baking sheet and bake for 35-45 minutes until crunchy, turning baking sheet halfway through the cooking time.
Let them sit on the baking sheet for a few minutes to cool slightly, then transfer to a bowl or plate. Dig in!
